This is the critically endangered Mary River Turtle (Scientific name: Elusor macrurus) found only in the Mary River in Queensland. In fact, it’s listed as one of the world’s top 25 most endangered turtle species.

The ‘hair’ is actually green algae which grows on this freshwater turtle’s head like a ‘mohawk’, and it can stay underwater for three days by absorbing oxygen through its cloaca (rear end).
