This full colour illustrated book is aimed at the 4-8 age group, although some of the words may be challenging for younger readers. It features information about the Regent Honeyeater, Southern Emu-wren and greater glider. Greater glider populations are in significant decline, with 80% decline in the last decade.

These three iconic zones make up Western Australia’s spectacular North West. The Pilbara, Kimberleys, and Ningaloo reef are a wildlife wonderland, offering extraordinary experiences for nature lovers of all kinds – from casual observers to passionate birders, anglers, and wildlife photographers. Explore these regions and you’ll find creatures both iconic and rare thriving across rivers, reefs, coastlines, and rugged landscapes.

There are still so many environments to explore. Examples might include:
- Tasmania
- The Channel Country and Gulf of Carpenteria
- The Snowy River, Gippsland and Alpine regions
- The Red Centre and Top End
- Cape York, The Daintree and Wet Tropics
More early reader books are currently in development. The goal is to create three early readers for each informative colouring book environment, along with a selection of additional general early readers. The Wallum environment now has three early readers available: Wallum Wildlife in Trouble, The Wallum Acid Frogs and Wallum Feathered Friends.
It’s All About The Beak is a more generalised early reader exploring the shapes of bird’s beaks and how we can get an idea of what they eat and how they forage based on the shape of their beaks. This book is written in rhyme with a catch chorus that youngsters will soon learn and be able to recite, helping them to learn vital reading skills along the way.
The next early reader in progress is titled “Fishy Business”, which explores some of the fish who call the Murray-Darling Basin and The Coorong home!

We plan to look at more globally significant environments in the future, again those that are generally not so well known. Due to the complexity and size of some of these countries, we will aim to cover around 60 species as a general overview. Examples of such environments may include:
- Pakistan – with environments ranging from the high Himalayas to desert and mangrove swamps, ancient juniper forests in the highlands of Balochistan, the Thar region and the Karoonjhar Mountain Hills.
- Iran which again, encompasses a range of ecosystems, including the UNESCO-recognised Hyrcanian forests, the diverse Zagros mountains, the vulnerable wetlands like Lake Urmieh, and the coastal areas of the Persian Gulf.
- Madagascar – where 90% of the species are endemic due to this island’s long isolation, particularly for lemurs, chameleons, frogs, and plants. Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world and hosts diverse ecosystems, including rainforests, highlands, and desert-like areas.
- China – China’s ecosystems are incredibly diverse, ranging from tropical rainforests and mangroves to deserts and high mountain ranges, supporting a rich variety of wildlife, including many endemic species like the giant panda and Golden Snub-nosed monkey. While China boasts high biodiversity with a significant proportion of global species, many ecosystems and habitats face severe threats from human activities like habitat destruction, pollution, and poaching, leading to a high number of threatened species.
