  • It is listed as a vulnerable species in both New South Wales and Queensland due to habitat loss.
  • These frogs are specialised to live and breed in the highly acidic wetlands (pH 3.0–5.0) of the coastal wallum environment.
  • The wallum environment ranges coastally from far northern NSW to southeast Queensland and includes some very unique areas such as K’gari (formerly Fraser Island), the islands in Moreton Bay, the Noosa Everglades, just to name a few!
